What is EPX?

This is the world’s first EMI measurement and evaluation software series designed to maximize the Accelerated Time Domain Scan function.
The EPX/RE measures radiated emissions from consumer products, the EPX/CE (to be released in April 2020) measures conducted emissions from consumer products, and the EPX/VE (to be released in December 2019) measures radiated and conducted emissions from vehicles and components.
Is it mandatory to operate the EPX Series with the N9048B PXE receiver manufactured by Keysight Technologies?

As of May 2019, the Accelerated Time Domain Scan function is provided only by the EN9048B PXE. Therefore, this EMI receiver is required in order to maximize the capabilities of the EPX series.
With EPX, can we perform measurements in accordance with EMC standards for automobiles and automotive equipment?

EPX/VE Software, which is compliant with EMC standards for automobiles and automotive components, will be released in December 2019. Information on its release will be published on this website. Please access this website regularly for updates.

Can we use EPX on a trial basis?

Yes, you can. Do not hesitate to contact us for information on the software you wish to try and what you would like to evaluate during the trial.
What kind of initial support do you offer?

On a chargeable basis, our engineers can visit your site to install the software, set it up, confirm the connectivity with measurement instruments and equipment, and provide instructions.
How about your after-sales support?

We accept inquiries using an Inquiry Form or e-mail, 24 hours a day.
Telephone inquiries are received from 9:30 to 17:30 on weekdays.

What kind of technical support is offered, for instance, regarding software problems?

How do you handle EPX upgrades?

Customers who have subscribed to our maintenance service are eligible to receive version upgrades and manuals free of charge. Please contact us for details.
Can you provide official EPX licenses temporarily?

We do not provide official licenses on a temporary basis. However, it is possible to conduct a trial. Please contact us regarding the software you would like to try and what you want to evaluate in the trial.

Are the measurements compliant with CISPR 16-1-1?

Yes, the measurements are compliant with CISPR 16-1-1. The EPX/RE evaluates the characteristics of the noise to be measured, and automatically switches between the W-TDS and the conventional TDS in order to be compliant with CISPR 16-1-1
What is “gapless measurement”?

“Gapless measurement” measures signals constantly within the FFT bandwidth without any blank periods. This is one of the Accelerated Time Domain Scan characteristics of the Keysight Technologies N9048B PXE. The EPX/RE utilizes this feature to perform measurements without overlooking any noise.
Can EPX be used with existing EMI receivers?

Let us know what model EMI receiver you are using and the built-in options, and we will let you know about the compatibility.
Can we view and analyze the data obtained from the previous software series (EP5/7/9)?

It is impossible to display such data, because the EPX/RE data structure differs greatly from that of the previous series.
